1) Your Name:
Costa T.
2) Where do you live?
Thiseio (Athens)
3) Where are you originally from?
Toronto, Canada, with a Greek father and a Canadian mother. I grew up spending many summers in Greece.
4) What’s your job/occupation?
HR Consultant, blogger, globetrotter
5) Tell us the first three jobs you ever had
Early school: A lemonade stand with my next door neighbor. Junior school: Newspaper delivery route (which I recall not lasting very long, once I realized that this required waking up extra early), and High School: Salesperson at Marks & Spencer
6) What is your star sign?
Aries
7) What is your Enneagram Type number?
8) What you love about Athens or Greece in general?
I find that Greece is a ‘heart’ country, not a ‘head’ country. This means that Greece is a land of paradox – a difficult encounter with a service provider followed by a beautiful encounter with a little yiayia who worries if you’ve had a nice lunch, a moment of extreme frustration followed by a moment of sublime happiness… Social interactions matter here more than most places. Because of this, life here is thoroughly interesting, thoroughly real. In the same vein, Athens is one of the most interesting cities in Europe. The inexplicable combination of light, sun & sea, the sounds and flavours of different neighbourhoods, and the layers of civilizations create an energy that makes this place unique in the world…
9) Tell us something most people don’t know about you.
I jog daily – 5km around the centre of Athens! I never tire of running past the colourful and diverse neighbourhoods of the city centre, and seeing the Acropolis, from any angle.
10) Where are we most likely to find you in the Lynn’s Kundalini Yoga community?
The Enneagram events! I am a big fan of the Enneagram system – it has had a direct impact on many aspects of my life. Many real ‘a-ha’ moments have happened for me at Lynn’s Enneagram Panel events – I never miss them.
11) First time you tried Kundalini Yoga (where/when/with whom)?
First time was on a summer holiday in Crete, poolside under the morning sun – with a very convincing instructor!
12) Anything else you’d like us to know?
I’m an avid amateur photographer! I love hopping on a plane with camera in tow, snapping my way through new cities, new faces, new landscapes, and experiencing the rich variety of the world.
